When we decided to open up our 1970’s kitchen, we checked out many NE Ohio builders. It was a long process but a rewarding one. To find such a dedicated and talented company right here in Stark County was a real treat. We couldn’t be happier with the results. The whole crew was great to work with. Curtis Bates treated us fairly and is a really good guy to deal with. We chose to go with a mission theme and open up 3 rooms into one great room. The handmade, quarter-sawn oak cabinets are breath taking. When a friend came home from Sonoma Valley, he marveled about how he felt they were the nicest he had ever seen anywhere. It is a joy to entertain in our new Johannings’ kitchen! We’re so happy that we’ve just contracted Johannings to do a bath and further renovations. We’re a couple who definitely strives to buy locally. How nice to find such a wonderful firm right in our own area.

When we decided to remodel our 25+ year old kitchen, we did what so many people do - went to one of Canton's recognized kitchen remodelers. We sat down, told them what we had in mind, they came back with a proposal and told us it wasn't possible to do what we wanted. Didn't listen!

Then we heard about Curtis Bates with Johannings, met with him and told him what we wanted. When Curtis came back with his proposal, not only could he do what we wanted, but had other enhancements and ideas that were focused on our needs and budget. The outcome exceeded our expectations and still looks great 4-5 years later. We love our kitchen!

We built our house in 2006 and Johannings constructed all of the custom cabinets and specialty trim. Their workmanship is beautiful and we are very happy with the end results. One of the most difficult decisions we have ever had to make was to choose a construction and home improvement company to build a kitchen addition that actually cost more than the home we purchased many years ago.
